Dr. Nathan Yang grew up in Arlington, TX where he graduated from Martin High School, after which he attended the University of Texas at Austin where he earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Biology. Dr. Yang then attended Texas A&M Health Sciences Center Baylor College of Dentistry where he earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS). To further his education, he attended LSU Health Shreveport School of Medicine where he earned a degree in Doctor of Medicine (MD). Dr. Yang completed an internship in General Surgery and residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at LSU Health Shreveport, one of the country’s premier programs. Dr. Yang and Dr. Mack did their residency together.
During residency, Dr. Yang had broad scope training in dentoalveolar surgery, implant dentistry, office-based anesthesia, corrective jaw surgery, reconstructive surgery, cosmetics, Botox®/fillers, trauma, TMJ surgery, benign and malignant pathology, and cleft/craniofacial surgery.
Dr. Yang is an active member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Texas Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association, and East Texas Dental Society. His current certifications include Level 4 Sedation Permit from the Texas State Board of Dental Examiners, Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS).
In his spare time, Dr. Yang enjoys traveling, cooking, skiing, hunting, and fishing. He is excited to start the next chapter of his life serving the people of East Texas.
